Normally these grapes are vinified
together with other varieties typical of Verona
(such as Corvina and Rondinella) to produce
a number of different wine denominations.
The unique and audacious choice
to opt for a single variety vinification
and followthe Charmat method
for the production of a sparkling wine
allows us to enhance
Molinara’s strong aromas and perfumes.
The land on which "Il Brolo di Barco" stands
is a unique crossroads located on
the volcanic hills of the eastern
edge of Verona’s province.
From here it dominates the ancient Via Postumia,
where the vine, favored by orography and climate,
has always been an integral part of the territory.
Cultivated with the passion of generations
who have turned it into the very emblem of nature,
it has over time become the dominant culture
that has defined season after season
the surrounding landscape
with its ever-changing colors.
WHO
Il Brolo di Barco
Molinara is an autochthonous and rustic vine,
widespread in the valleys and in
the dry well-ventilated slopes that grace
the province of Verona.
The grapes are covered with a whitish patina
that recalls the thin coat of flour which
might have covered them had they been laid
to rest in a mill or in a “mulino”,
hence the name Molinara.
MOLINARA
Molinara Spumante Millesimato Brut
is a ruby red wine of moderately
alcoholic body and significant acidity.
It is lively, with an intense
and characteristic bouquet
that make it an immediately
recognizable and forthright wine.
